Privacy Policy

BY USING THIS WEB SITE, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS SITE:

What this Policy Covers. This web site, www.mechadyne.com (“Site”), is owned and operated by Mechadyne Machine, Inc. (“Mechadyne,” “we” or “us”). Because your privacy is important to us, we have adopted the following policy regarding the use of your personal information that we receive from you through this Site. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, the practices of this Site, or your dealings with this Site, you can contact Mechadyne at either address shown below.

What is “Personal Information?” This Privacy Policy addresses our use of your “Personal Information” that we receive from you when you use our Site. For purposes of this policy, Personal Information means any information that identifies you, or can be used to identify, contact or locate you. Personal Information also includes information that, by itself does not identify you, but when combined with other information we have, can be used to personally identify, contact or locate you, for example, your name, address, phone number, fax number, email address, financial profiles, and credit card information. Personal Information also includes information we receive from you regarding another person that identifies that person, or can be used to identify, contact or locate that person, including by combining that information with other information we already have.

We obtain some Personal Information directly from you and other Personal Information is collected automatically from you during your use of our Site. We also may already have information about you from various sources such as from your previous visits to our Site and other third parties with whom we have joint marketing or similar arrangements. Our use of this information is discussed below.

How do we Collect and Use Your Personal Information? Various pages on our Site contain forms that require users to provide contact information (such as name and e-mail address), demographic information (such as ZIP code), financial information (such as credit card number) and other similar information. This information is needed to identify you to our Site and to provide you with information, products and services that you have requested. These forms and the information they request may change from time to time.

We use your IP address (see Glossary below) to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Site. The Site also logs IP addresses for systems administration purposes to track a user’s session. This tracking also helps us evaluate which parts of our Site users are visiting so that we may improve our Site to better serve you. Our Site will soon have a log in feature to provide access to customers who have an established account with us. If you log onto your account with us (as opposed to visiting our Site without logging on) your IP address may be linked to personally identifiable information, but only while your logon session is active. This linkage is necessary at that time for security reasons.

Once you have logged on to our Site, your use of our Site may be tracked using a unique identifier that can be matched to your Personal Information stored in our database. This log is used to monitor the security of your data and to keep track of failed login attempts and other usage information.

Our Site may use Cookies (see Glossary below) to keep track of your login session. If a cookie is used, once you log out, the cookie will be removed. If we are using a cookie and your browser is set to reject cookies, you will not be allowed to login to our Site until you change the setting to accept the cookie.

So that we can provide you with information and advertising about products and services that you may be interested in, we may disclose information derived from you in an aggregate, statistical form (along with information about our other Site visitors and/or customers) that does not identify you personally to companies who are interested in advertising on, marketing through or linking with our Site (“Advertising Partners”). We also may use information gathered from your visit to evaluate your use of our Site so that we can improve our Site’s design and content. If you “opt in” below, we also may use your Personal Information to provide you with information about Mechadyne’s products and services. We will not disclose your Personal Information to our Advertising Partners in a manner that would allow them to contact you directly, but, if you “opt in” below, we also may use your Personal Information to allow us to contact you regarding our Advertising Partners’ products and services.

Please note that if you use a link from our Site to one of our Advertising Partner’s sites, our Advertising Partner’s use of any Personal Information it collects from you during your use of that site, whether collected explicitly or automatically, will be governed by our Advertising Partner’s privacy policy, not this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to read our Advertising Partner’s online privacy policy, if available, or to contact the company directly about their privacy policy, before providing them with any personally-identifying information. Mechadyne has no responsibility or liability with respect to our Advertising Partners’s privacy policy or their adherence to their policies.

Personal Information you give us about other persons (such as information about someone with whom you would like to share our product information) will be used only for the purpose for which you disclosed that information to us. Personal Information you provide us about third parties is not shared with any other person or company, except as set forth below.

We also may make extraordinary disclosures of your Personal Information. These extraordinary disclosures include, without limitation, (1) disclosures required by law, court order or other compulsory process, (2) disclosures made in voluntary cooperation with law enforcement agencies, (3) disclosures to government regulators, (4) disclosures made in an effort to prevent or halt illegal activities on, or the illegal use of, our Site, and (5) disclosures that we reasonably believe are necessary to defend against or prevent us from incurring liability to third parties.

We will not disclose your Personal Information to any third party in a manner that identifies you personally other than as described in this Privacy Policy or with your prior permission.

However, even if you do not opt in, you agree that we can use your personal information to send you any information or products that you have specifically requested us to send you at the time the Personal Information was provided.

Glossary of terms used in this Privacy Policy:

Cookies

Cookies are messages that a web server sends to an Internet browser software program. The browser, in turn, stores the message on the personal computer hosting the browser. Temporary cookies only last as long as the browser is running. Persistent cookies are stored on the computer’s hard disk. Sites often use cookies to identify repeat visitors and offer them personalized service. Mechadyne only uses temporary cookies.

IP Address

When you are connected to the Internet, your computer has a unique Internet ID called an IP address. Most people who connect through a dial-up service, such as America Online, get a different IP address each time they login. Others might have a permanently assigned IP address, called a static IP address. It is difficult or impossible for a web site to collect Personal Information about you (i.e., your name, e-mail address, etc.) from your IP address alone, though a static IP address makes this easier. We do not collect Personal Information in this manner.

SSL Encryption

A method by which information transmitted across the Internet is scrambled to the point where it is virtually indecipherable by anyone who should intercept the data before it reaches its destination. Web pages where SSL encryption is activated are typically identified by a lock or key symbol displayed somewhere in your browser. Refer to your browser’s documentation for the specific symbol and location.
